Behold the glorious musicians of the Sauerkraut German Band,
caught in their native attire and habitat at various engagements.
The Sauerkraut German Band continues to unofficially represent
Wright-Patterson AFB. Here they pose at the Missing Man Flight
Formation monument at the Air Force Museum.
The group
poses for the cover picture for one of our albums created at the Dayton Art
Institute in 1995.
Dick Ray our inestimable business manager keeps us hopping throughout our
playing season.
Audrey
Wright brings out the lyrics of a number of German and American songs.
Here's the
back row (Brass) without the inestimable Dick Ray who escaped for an
evening.
Here's the
front row (sort of) somebody turned a stand to cover the face at the end.
On the other end we had Ernie of course.
Let's not forget the
guy that plays the accordion (although we want to sometimes), the inimitable
Gary.
The rest
of the trombones make a great section for our shows.
Our Tuba player always
lays down the beat for the rest of us to follow.
This guy is versatile. He can
give us any tempo we need from waltzes to polkas to swing music. Just don't ask him
to play Cute.
Here the band enjoys
the outdoors. Unfortunately it was in June and about 50 degrees.
